Hi and welcome to my website. My name is Marina and I am Croatian, Aussie and British Fitness and Bodybuilding Athlete/Judge, Fitness Model and a Level III Certified Personal Trainer and a Nutrition Advisor.
My sports career commenced when I was a little girl. I practiced Jazz Dance in a prestigious dance school in Zagreb, Croatia run by a famous Croatian ballerina/dancer Edita Cebalo. In high school I started dancing for Senna M a Bosnian & Croatian pop-dance music singer, dancer, lyricist, composer, prominent music producer and music video director.
Apart from dance I also took part in swimming competitions on a national level and simply loved keeping myself active at all times. Coming form a very sporty family of football players (one being my mum), water polo players, boxers, UFC fighters, dancers and runners, I am really not surprised my career has followed some of these footsteps.
I completed my A 'levels in London, UK and also graduated with BA Honours in Journalism and Communication Studies with Italian Language at a London University, spending the last year of my studies in Bologna, Italy "brushing" up on my Italian.
It was during my university years that I really developed passion for fitness and bodybuilding. Despite working in the Media after graduating I simultaneously worked as a Personal Trainer and eventually made Fitness my Full-Time career. I worked for some top gyms and have been training clients including celebrities with all sorts of health and fitness goals to present. Training pushed me into competing at many fitness and bodybuilding shows nationally and internationally, and eventually led me to judge fitness and bodybuilding competitions as well.
Fitness also opened many other doors for me like; fitness modelling, promotional work and patronage for different organisations. One very close to my heart was WDSA (Wheelchair Dance Sports Association) UK.
Today a busy mum of two happy bambinos and with another qualification under my belt, this time in teaching, I am pleased to say that home schooling is going great and I am doing my very best to pass my fitness and nutrition knowledge to my ballerina girl and my little footballer.
Thank you for your time reading about my fitness journey, now get in touch and tell me how would you like to work on yours . I am always happy to help . x
In August 2012 in Sapri, Italy I was named IBFA Croatia president and since then I have taken athletes to compete as far as India, judged shows nationally and internationally not only for IBFA federation but across other federations as well.
In September 2011 I became" Wheelchair Dance Sports Association UK" Patron which was a great privilege and I really have enjoyed every bit of this journey before my move to Australia.
What an honour to be pronounced an athlete of the moth this year as well as, be aired in BBC Documentary "Cherry's Body Dilemmas" where she examines her own and other women's body image issues ...
